I have found myself faced with structural challenges. nothing more than supporting ceiling joist where walls have been in the past. they are currently supported with no issues or concerns but hope to call the supports only temporary. One idea that my old man and i had and what i would personally would love to see carried through are thick exposed beams. Most likely reclaimed from a barn. With our biggest lintel at 12' dreams of over sized dovetails joining them to posts are prominent in my mind.
